The Swiss are often described as modest people. CoffeeB may be Swiss, but its ambition is far from modest.
Our mission is to rid the world of capsule waste.
And we will do so with a revolutionary, sustainable coffee system that offers an unparalleled coffee experience and extremely simple handling. As simple as that.
Today, billions of aluminum and plastic capsules are sold every year. More than 65% of them are thrown away after a single use, creating over 100,000 tonnes of capsule waste annually. For something as simple as coffee, that felt far too much around it.
Coffee B was created to offer an alternative: a revolutionary, capsule-free coffee system that combines an outstanding coffee experience with extremely simple handling.

What makes Coffee B different
Coffee B is an individual portion system, as simple, flavorsome and handy as a capsule system that delivers an unparalleled coffee experience with innovative and patented brewing technology. It offers the convenience of a classic capsule machine, but without a capsule.
Made near the Rhine – and 100% compostable
At the center of this system is the Coffee Ball.
Close to the Rhine, coffee is freshly roasted and ground with care and expertise. The ground coffee is pressed into a compact ball and wrapped in a protective layer made entirely from natural-origin raw materials.
This layer preserves the coffee aroma even after opening the packaging and provides the stability needed for brewing. Each Coffee Ball is marked with its variety using laser technology, without any printing inks or colors.
After use, the Coffee Ball is 100% compostable. Under moist soil conditions, it naturally breaks down within a few weeks.
